Finding the Joy ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Game On Solutions Ltd, registered in England. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with care and transparency.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and an encrypted password. All content you create within the app (journal entries, gratitude logs, recipes, mood data, etc.) is stored securely on our servers and is only accessible to you.
We use your data solely to provide the Finding the Joy service to you. This includes storing your content, authenticating your account, processing subscription payments via Stripe, and sending you transactional emails (welcome emails, subscription confirmations). We do not sell, share, or trade your personal data with any third parties.
We use the following third-party services:
Cloudflare — hosting, database, and image storage. Data is processed in accordance with Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions. Stripe handles all payment data directly; we do not store your card details.
Resend — transactional email delivery.
Groq — AI processing for the Marcel companion feature. Conversations with Marcel are processed by Groq's AI service but are not stored by Groq beyond the immediate request.
Google Books API — book search functionality. No personal data is sent to Google.
Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 with SHA-256 and are never stored in plain text. Images you upload are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
We use a single HTTP-only authentication cookie (ftj_token) to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.
Finding the Joy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
